South African Rory Sabbatini and India's Jeev Milkha Singh will be among the top contenders when the 3.5 million-dollar US PGA Puerto Rico Open tees off Thursday.

While 68 of the world's top players will be at the World Golf Championships CA Championship at Doral, another 132 will compete for a 630,000-dollar top prize at Trump International Golf Club.

Sabbatini is the highest-ranked player in the world at Puerto Rico on 55th, five spots ahead of India's Jeev Milkha Singh, who just missed out on a spot at Doral and hopes to take advantage with a Caribbean victory.

Singh, a new father at 38, plans to move his family to New York later this year after most of his inaugural US PGA season is complete. His 15 global titles include triumphs on the Asian, Japan and European tours.

Also entered is John Daly, a two-time major champion who at 44 is hoping to revive his form after years of personal struggles. He made the cut once in four 2010 starts, at Mexico, and would love his first top-25 finish since 2007.
