Am I able to use the GPS Caddie II without a computer?

Yes. Out of the box, the GPS Caddie II does not require anything other than a set of AA batteries. With or without a computer, the GPS Caddie II functions the same once you get it onto the course. Without a computer, you can easily map a golf course using the integrated mapping feature. However, a computer is beneficial if you prefer to download and transfer golf course files to/from your GPS Caddie II device. If you have occasional access to a computer, the GPS Caddie II will store up to 40 courses for added convenience. The software used to transfer files to/from the GPS Caddie II is not compatible with Apple’s Macintosh computer systems.
